What does Mixed Media Art mean?
For me, Mixed Media Art means one thing above all:
being a child again in my art. That's where my artist name Innerkind Atelier comes from.
I consciously let go of rigid processes and expectations to experiment freely,
to play and paint without pressure.
From this intuitive, carefree state
my multi-layered works emerge.

The Creative Process
My Mixed Media paintings arise from a deep connection of various materials, colors, and techniques.
At the beginning, there is usually a color selection, inspired by my feelings,
a special moment, or nature.
For each art series, I first develop my own color world
and document my thoughts and intentions.
A special part of my work is painting in nature.
I prefer to let individual steps of the creative process take place outdoors.
Thus, nature directly becomes part of the creative process
and the personal story of a work of art.
The basis of my works is high-quality, natural cotton canvases and selected professional-grade artist paints.
My style thrives on a lively mixed technique:
I combine the rich application of pure acrylic paint with flowing, watery glazes.
Accents from noble artist and watercolor pencils, as well as expressive oil pastels, give the pictures a special depth.
Fine relief pastes also create tangible, three-dimensional structures.
The raw canvas remains an important part of the picture
and is consciously integrated into the artwork.

Depth, Protection, and Elegant Presentation
Only through working in many layers, the different materials, and long drying phases does the characteristic depth of my Mixed Media Art emerge.
When a painting is finished, the surface is sealed with a high-quality protective varnish.
This reliably protects the painting from UV radiation, yellowing, and aging.
For the perfect presentation on the wall, my original paintings are then placed in high-quality shadow gap frames.
The fine gap between the canvas and the frame makes the picture optically float and supports the effect of colors, depth, and structure in a particularly elegant way.
